She is currently developing a curatorial project scheduled to launch in 2026 and recently published La Sbergia, an editorial experiment focused on the urban fabric of Messina.
Other research projects include an analysis of the effects of ‘Mediterranean Branding’ in Marseille and Palermo and the acceleration caused by COVID-19.
In Marseille, Agnese has contributed to the accessibility strategy of Jeanne Barret, supported Marine Comte’s artist residency, and assisted with the educational activities of the cultural association.
Previously, she lived in London for nearly ten years, where she earned degrees in Art History from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and the Courtauld Institute, as well as worked in various galleries and art organisations. Before moving, she was Gallery Manager at Project Native Informant.
Agnese is looking to contribute to artistic, editorial, and research projects anchored in conceptual practices, urban studies, and social initiatives.
In her capacity as Gallery Manager at Project Native Informant and as Assistant at Sadie Coles HQ, Agnese contributed to the organisation of exhibitions and stands at art fairs in London and internationally.
As Registrar, she coordinated logistics for artists and clients across Europe, the United States, and Asia, collaborating with prominent institutions and major art fairs such as Frieze London, Frieze Seoul, Art Basel Hong Kong, and Art Basel Miami.
Experienced in art PR, Agnese has developed and managed successful press campaigns, collaborating with leading international publications such as ArtReview, ArtMonthly, CURA Magazine, and Frieze Magazine.
She has also overseen the gallery’s wider communication strategy, coordinating newsletters, website updates, press releases, interviews, and printed materials to enhance audience engagement and media visibility.
Through targeted campaigns and ad-hoc events, she has built a strong network of relationships with writers and editors across international art publications.
Drawing on her research in Italian visual poetry, Agnese has developed a versatile translation practice, adaptable to different tones and registers. She recently translated a essay by researcher Sofia Rudi Kent, “L’architettura del Mito.”
She offers translations between English and Italian for a wide range of cultural and artistic contexts.
